Description
The temperature dipped to -32 as I drove along Highway 200 on the stark plains of North Dakota. I'd passed this church hundreds of times in my travels from the Red River Valley to western North Dakota, but this time as I looked up brilliant sundogs appeared and the church seemed to glow. I quickly pulled to the side of the road and turned my Jeep around to find a safe place to pull over. I grabbed the camera on the seat next to me, and shot the scene once as cars and trucks passed by. In a spit second the sun and sundogs had shifted and nearly disappeared. I'm thankful I was given the opportunity to capture what I interpret as a sign of Light and Hope in such a desolate, cold existence. I feel a sense of peace when I view this photo. And I am grateful.
James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
