Description
An old red shed holds the history of this area in eastern North Dakota. Once the shop of a blacksmith, wheelwright, steam engine engineer, carpenter, and auto/farm implement mechanic, as well as a local gas station, this wooden building was a center of commerce and community. The two brothers who were masters of all forms of repair slept in a makeshift apartment on the second floor. Constructed in the late 1800's by some of the first Norwegian settlers in the area, this structure still is a landmark.
