Description

This bull bison was peaceful and at rest when we drove to him near the Oxbow Overlook at the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. After a brief 'conversation' in which his response was not positive, we drove away! Male bison can reach a weight of 2,000 pounds and a height of 6.5 feet. They can run in excess of 35 miles per hour and turn on a dime. No contest for us!
